Spreading Awareness

Teal is the new fabulous trend! Teal represents the color of food allergy awareness.  Let's increase awareness by getting into the spirit of wearing teal.  Wear teal clothing, eye shadow, jewelry - anything! When you participate, inform FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) and The Alan App so we can support your efforts in spreading food allergy awareness.

Working Together

Create Awareness through Social Media

A great way to spread food allergy awareness is through social media. Examples include posting a fact about food allergies, changing your profile picture to something teal, uploading food allergy cover photos, etc

Food Allergy Month

Recently, FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) declared May as the official Food Allergy Action Month! This gives you thirty-one days to make an impact on the food allergy community. Isn't it great to have a whole month dedicated to food allergies and food allergy awareness?

Have an Official make a Proclamation

A Proclamation is a public announcement. For Food Allergy Awareness Week, you can have a government official declare the week as a designated time to spread food allergy awareness. Write a letter or send an email!

There are a variety of ways to increase awareness in your school during Food Allergy week. You can create a presentation for an assembly, set up a booth with information at the cafeteria, go to individual classes, or distribute brochures.
